Day 30- Saddest character death.
From “Oz”: The death of Chris Keller. Keller’s death was so frustrating because he was always one of my favorite characters. And then what happened? Tom Fontana had to go and kill him off with only like 10 minutes left of the entire series! Granted, all the deaths of season 5 and 6 were pretty freakin’ sad, but I had to pick one. It’s like the writers set out to kill off every other main character (Augustus Hill, Warden Glynn, Vernon Schillinger, Kareem Said, Cyril O’Reily, CHRIS KELLER). Thank heavens my imaginary boyfriend Ryan O’Reily was spared.

Day 29- Current TV show obsession.
“Hell’s Kitchen”. I might as well just admit that I love Gordon Ramsay so much, I would watch him brush his teeth at this point. Seriously though, I watch every show he is in, but “Hell’s Kitchen” just happens to be my favorite. And don’t even get me started on the uncensored DVD seasons. They are bloody hilarious. My favorite Gordon Ramsay-ism? “You look like a baby rhinoceros trying to SHIT!”

Day 28- First TV show obsession.
“Full House”. My obsession with this show occurred around 1999-2002. I used to watch it every day after school, and it gave me my first (and remaining) celebrity obsession: John Stamos. When I say “obsession” I mean obsession. We’re talking a shrine in my room and everything. I even got the Uncle Jesse Barbie Doll! And if I do say so, I had good taste as a child.

Day 27- Best pilot episode.
“Reno 911!” The pilot episode of “Reno 911!” is a hilarious start to a hilarious series. The characters are all introduced nicely, and the pursuits of the criminals garnered full-bellied laughs from me. When I go back and watch the pilot, it doesn’t read as being “old” like many shows’ pilots. Also, the improv-style comedy really hits the spot.

Day 26- OMG WTF? Season finale.
“Dexter”: Season 4 Finale. I think there was a collective gasp heard from anyone watching this episode as it went down. The whole episode has an air of rushed, frantic anticipation to it, from the beginning in the police station (“Hello, Dexter Morgan”), to the pursuing chase of Arthur/Trinity by Dexter; the Quinn altercation in the parking lot, the arrest (!) of Dexter as he is running out of time and has Arthur locked in his van, the big break at the station pertaining to Trinity’s real identity, Dexter almost getting caught at Trinity’s house, the (supposed) final scene of Dexter killing Arthur… And of course, the “OMG WTF?” moment of Dexter finding the lifeless body of Rita in a bathtub of blood, killed by Trinity mere hours before Dexter could take care of him. It certainly had me on the edge of my seat! Just thinking about it makes me sweat.

Day 25- A show you plan on watching (old or new).
“Alcatraz”: This show is supposed to premiere in 2012 on Fox, so only the trailer is watchable as of yet. There are several reasons why the show appeals to me. First of all, it’s about a prison, a subject which everyone knows I hold dear. Also, I’ve actually been to Alcatraz, which was amazing. The premise looks wildly different, quirky, and interesting. And finally, the series will often deal with the prisoners and their past, with flashbacks to the 30’s/40’s etc., which I love as well.

Day 24 – Best quote.
From “The X-Files”: “The truth is out there.” I like this quote, always have. It applies to supernatural things, sure, yet also works well with any of life’s little mysteries. One can give this as an answer to any question, i.e: “Why is the sky blue?” -the truth is out there. “Where is Waldo?” -the truth is out there. “Was Mulder always right?” -the truth is out there (just kidding, of course he was.)

Day 23- Most annoying character.
From “True Blood”: Tommy Mickens, AKA Sam Merlotte’s brother. I hate him, period. In every episode he’s in, he manages to piss someone off, endanger someone’s life, or otherwise be a burden to the characters as well as the audience watching and throwing things at their screen. Yet Sam continues to trust him. And Tommy continues to suck.

Day 22- Favorite series finale.
“Boy Meets World”: The series finale of this show still chokes me up. We are left with the reassurance that the main characters are going to have secure, happy lives ahead of them. We follow Corey, Shawn, Topanga, and Eric as they tie up all their loose ends in Philly, including saying goodbye to Mr. Feeny. (Cue the waterworks.) The sweetest scene occurs when Shawn breaks down crying, telling Mr. Feeny just how much he has meant to them. And then, when Mr. Feeny is left in his empty classroom: “I love you all. Class dismissed”. Now excuse me while I go weep.

Day 21- Favorite friendship.
From “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Ryan and Colin. When these two get together and do improv, magic happens. It is super obvious that they are friends in real life when they perform. Also, no one else on the planet has the ability to make Ryan break character and laugh as hard as Colin can.
